Global Climate Crisis, Planet

Every Picture Tells a Story, Don’t It?

And the story this one tells is that we are in big trouble.  While people argue about “climategate” and other peripheral nonsense, the physics of global temperature continue apace.  In their global “State of the Climate” report NOAA finds that global surface temperature for April 2010 was the warmest April ever recorded and that the months from January to April were the warmest first quarter recorded- adding a few more data points to the voluminous evidence of our global climate crisis.

Some of you may recall our major media behaving badly during the blizzards this past winter- with several TV pundits suggesting that a few big snowfalls in the northeast challenged the scientific basis for global warming predictions.  With that in mind I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself when I noted the following in NOAA’s national “State of the Climate” report:

According to the Rutgers Snow Lab, North American snow cover for April 2010 was the smallest on record (since 1966).
